Olympic Competitor Numbers

Every competitor is given a number, starting from 1, Kurt Dörry, who was among the runners in the first heat of the 100 meters in 1896, and alphabetically the first among them.

After attributing the numbers, I have made some alterations, and have not always adapted the numbers to their new values. The following numbers should be adapted as follows:

• 697 Maurice Durguetty and 698 Etchegaray are no longer considered Olympic Competitors.
• 699-1341 : 2 should be subtracted from all numbers (should be 697-1339
• 1342 George Wilkinson, 1343 Arthur Robertson, 1344 Eric Robinson, 1345 Rob Derbyshire and 1346 Bill Lister did not actually compete in the 1900 Waterpolo
• 1347-2771 : 7 should be subtracted from all numbers (should be 1340-2764)
• 1345 Rob Derbyshire should be number 2765
• 2772-4466 : 6 should be subtracted from all numbers (should be 2766-4460)
• 1342 George Wilkinson should be numbuer 4461
• 4467-5422 : 5 should be subtracted from all numbers (should be 4462-5417)
• Gordon Alexander has nr 5418
• 5423-5948 : 4 should be subtracted from all numbers (should be 5419-5944)
• 5949 is where I had originally placed Gordon Alexander
• 5950-6031 : 5 should be subtracted from all numbers (should be 5945-6026)
• 6031 is where I now have Tatu Kolehmainen (should be 6027)
• 6032-6989 : 4 should be subtracted from all numbers (should be 6028-6985)
• 6986 numbers should be correct
