Region of Zambia

The territory of the country now known as Zambia was British since 1888, and administered by the British South Africa Company of Cecil Rhodes.
In 1924 it became a British protectorate under the name Northern Rhodesia.
In 1953 the two Rhodesias, and Nyasaland, were joined in the "Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland", but the three countries sent separate teams to the British Empire and Commonwealth Games of 1954 and 1958.
In 1960 the Federation fielded a team in Roma simply called "Rhodesia". It contained one person who was definitely from Northern Rhodesia:

  1. (861) Abe Bekker (rho-ZAM/BOX/1960)
