Contrary to many historians, Mallon has decided that the Military Patrol and the Curling are full Olympian sports in 1924. There was no difference in their approach during the International Winter Sport Week, as the even was originally called. When the IOC decided later to re-name the games "First Winter Olympic Games", no specific mention was made of these events. It is therefore completely normal to include them as full Olympic events.
