Every career change brought him even more success. Barely 12th at the Olympics at Ice Hockey - he turned to Tennis, in which he reached the Wimbledon quarter finals in 1968. At doubles tennis he won 22 titles. Then he became a coach, managing such greats as Boris Becker and Goran Ivanišević. After the fall of Communism in Romania in 1990 he went into business. The bank that he founded became the largest in Romania, and in 2014 his net worth was estimated at 2 billion US dollars, making him the richest former athlete of all-time.
