The MADMen call her Ukrainian, and spell her name using Ukrainian transliteration (Liudmyla rather than Lyudmila). She was born on the peninsula facing the Crimea, than and now in Russia. But she competede from Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, and stayed in Ukraine after her sports career, so I shall follow suit in this one and call her Ukrainian.
