In previous Olympics, Cypriot athletes had been representing Greece, and I count them as Cypriot. In 1980 however, Cyprus already had a separate NOC, and participated as such in Moskva, so this athlete must be considered Greek, even though he was born in Cyprus, and represented a Cypriot club from Famagusta.
