Basketball 1904
Bill Mallon does not consider the Basketball at St. Louis as Olympic,
mainly because there
were no foreign teams. However, Basketball was not played outside the US
at the time and the competition was of the highest US, thus world, standard.
Considering that many competitions only attracted 3 teams, while this one
got six, I certainly believe this event is as worthy of inclusion as many
others.
